In 1957, Charles and Olive Scrymgeour (Scott's grandparents) purchased the ongoing concern, Oxbow Gardens. It was then a commercial flower grower that supplied New England with begonias, geraniums and other plants. The business remains connected to the Bedford, MA property. Oxbow Gardens provided flowers to the Woolworth chain, delivering 18 wheeler
