Before using A&A, be sure to get a price quote in advance, especially for small projects. My project took less than an hour and I was charged about *double* the average hourly rate. In my case, I was told afterward it was a flat rate price. Learn from my mistake and get a quote. If no quote is provided, go elsewhere as there are many competent plumbers with reasonable rates.

Mike is transparent, fair and trustworthy in his under promise over deliver workmanship. He will point out if a competitor is overbidding or incorrectly diagnosing a problem. His team creatively solved a drain mainline issue without having to replace the entire line. Highly recommend but almost don't want to because too many will fill up his calendar :-)

Move ahead to April 2021, and we have a toilet whose pedestal is leaking at the base. We worried that this could rot the subfloor.
A&A came promptly and fixed the problem, not as severe as we had feared. The technician was effective and polite. Strange side effect, though: tried to call to thank them, for two days, and the phone was not answered (did not want to leave a message). I called both the Palo Alto (650) and Sunnyvale (408) numbers, with the same non-result.
