Mold Inspection
Our mold inspections use thermal imaging cameras and spore trap air samples to detect hidden mold sources in residential and commercial properties. Certified inspectors analyze moisture patterns and airborne spore concentrations while collecting indoor/outdoor samples for lab comparison. The process identifies contamination origins and provides remediation prioritization for areas exceeding normal fungal thresholds.
Air Quality Testing
Air quality testing captures airborne mold spores through calibrated impact sampling to determine indoor contamination levels. We collect 75L air samples using spore traps that identify viable/non-viable spores and compare results against outdoor baselines. The data quantifies genus types per cubic meter to assess health risks and guide remediation efforts for commercial and residential environments.
Bulk Sampling
Bulk sampling involves removing suspected mold-contaminated materials for laboratory identification. We analyze substrates like drywall or carpet to determine genus/species composition, including toxic varieties like Stachybotrys. While not measuring airborne exposure, this method confirms contamination types and guides remediation when combined with air sample data for comprehensive assessment of commercial and residential properties.
Clearance Testing
Post-remediation clearance testing ensures proper mold removal through follow-up air sampling and visual inspection. We compare pre/post-remediation spore counts to verify contamination elimination while checking containment integrity. As independent third-party inspectors, we guarantee unbiased verification without conflicts of interest, providing documentation for property transactions or regulatory compliance in residential and commercial settings.
Surface Sampling
Surface sampling identifies mold presence on visible growth areas through tape lifts or swab cultures. We analyze one-square-inch samples to determine genus/species composition using microscopic examination or petri dish incubation. This method confirms surface contamination types while verifying cleaning effectiveness during remediation projects for residential properties and commercial buildings.

Questions
What does a mold inspection involve?
Our inspections combine thermal imaging, moisture mapping, and air sampling to identify hidden mold sources. Inspectors collect spore trap samples from 75L air volumes while comparing indoor/outdoor contamination baselines for comprehensive analysis.
How long does testing take?
Field inspections typically complete within 2-3 hours. Laboratory analysis requires 3-10 business days depending on sample types, with expedited options available for urgent cases requiring immediate action.
Do you test for toxic mold species?
We identify toxigenic molds like Stachybotrys through cultured samples and DNA analysis. However, all elevated mold requires remediation regardless of species due to potential health risks and transformation capabilities.
Are results admissible in court?
Our court-admissible reports include calibrated sampling methods, chain-of-custody documentation, and species identification through cultured analysis when required for legal proceedings and property disputes.
Can I schedule after-hours service?
We offer limited 24/7 emergency response for urgent mold concerns but maintain standard 8am-5pm operations for non-critical inspections and consultations in Atlanta and surrounding areas.

We hired SafeAir to provide mold testing services because they do not provide mold remediation services. We needed non-biased testing and advice. They were also the most helpful prior to hiring them. Jeremy, who inspected our property, sat down with us and answered all of our questions and gave us great advice. The report they sent me was detailed and easy to understand. Jeremy also wore a mask and shoe covers, which we appreciated. We would recommend them to anyone who needs help with a mold problem.
