Limited repairs can be done in house while other more detailed repairs can be sent our multiple repair labs and manufactures. Professional cleaning and servicing keep aid in proper working order and can help to extend the life of aids. Cleaning by a professional is recommended every 6 months. Rainford Hearing Aid Service was started by Ron Rainford in 1971 upon his retirement from the US Air Force. Ron became one of the first licensed hearing aid specialists in Nevada and a member of the International Hearing Society in 1973. Ron was joined in his venture by his son Tom in 1974. Tom received his degree in Hearing Instrument Technology from Anoka Ramsey and was licensed in 1979; he went on to become board certified in 1986.

No matter the age, model or manufacturer of a hearing aid we will try to get your aid working! Limited in house repairs can be done depending on the manufacturer and what is wrong with the aids. If the aids need repair beyond what we are able to do in office, we have the ability to send it to the manufacturers or independent repair labs.

Cleaning Service

At Rainford Hearing Aid Service, we recommend users clean their aids lightly daily with more detailed self cleaning monthly. Some hearing aids have filters and/or wax traps that can be cleaned and changed by the user if they desire. Professional cleaning and servicing of aids is recommended at least every 6 months.

Molds are used with hearing aids, electronic equipment, and musician monitors. Each and every one of us have differently shaped ears, therefore it is very important to make sure that you ear mold piece fits properly to ensure it will work properly because our ears play an important role in our day to day life.
