Special Applications
Report
By 2009, EAB killed an estimated 58 million ash trees in thirteen states, according to Dr. Leah Bauer of the USDA. Soil can get a ph level below 6 and become acidic or sour. Acid soils are not necessarily infertile but an indication that the supply of calcium and magnesium is low and needs replenishing.
Aeration & Over Seeding
Report
To verticut we use a machine that slices grooves into your ground to expose the soil. Typical depth to verticut is up to a 1/4 inch. We first verticut the lawn one direction then go back over the lawn and verticut again at a 45 to 90 degree angle. So now you have a criss cross affect. Before seeding we will go through the lawn and rake up all the big clumps left behind from the verticutting.
Mulching
Report
Mulch will freshen up and make your landscaped areas stand out from the rest of your lawn. Mulch is an important part of landscaping. It has a long list of benefits including: moisture retention, soil temperature moderation, erosion prevention, and frost damage reduction in spring. Mulch also returns organic matter into the soil as it breaks down.
