The movers were very nice.but careless with our furniture. The owner was obnoxious and off putting. We moved 25 miles and Ive heard people moving across the country with less aggravation. Our very expensive furniture is damaged and irreparable. This is my second time using them and it was an awful experience as opposed to the first time.

From our initial contact with Peggy to set up an estimate to the professionalism, friendliness, and competence of our moving crew, this company is top-notch. We were referred to Hometown Moving Co by our realtor and I read reviews online, but they were even better than the reviews. They moved several oversized and/or heavy pieces, as well as antiques with great sentimental value, with such care. I recently moved from an apartment to a house, a distance of only 5 miles. I went with Hometown because of a recommendation as well as the reviews, even though other companies came in with lower estimates. I found them to be very unprofessional, complaining about the amount of items in our storage unit and exhibiting generally rude behavior. They were careless with many of our items, tossing them off the truck and disregarding the boxes marked fragile. We have moved a number of times, two of those moves cross-country, and one just earlier this year, and this was by far our worst experience.

From the moment the guys walked into our house- professional and friendly. For both locations they immediately began covering the doorways to protect them as well as the hallway floors, railings and steps. They did a walkthrough of the house to cover what was going, staying and any other special instructions. They were quick, careful and just a fun crew!! All of our items were moved with care and no damage. They asked questions if they were unsure about anything throughout the day. We would recommend Hometown a million times over!! I am disabled and needed help moving and rearranging my rooms. Hometown moving company was excellent in helping me. I believe I was quoted a fair price, they came on time and they did everything I asked them to do. They also left everything clean and in place.
