If your home's aging and root-infested pipes are causing problems, and if cabling and jetting are reaching the point of no more positive return, then you'll probably be getting yourself some estimates for replacing your sewer main. And if you're fortunate to have a house situated in such a way that equipment easy negotiates the terrain, and there's a clear digging path from the house's cast iron to the municipal sewer connection, and you don't mind losing all your landscaping in between, then perhaps a standard trenching solution is right for you.
