Custom Fencing & Outdoor Structures in Northern Ohio
Founded in 1932, Elyria Fence has been a family-owned institution in Northern Ohio for over nine decades. Our legacy began with Thomas Polen, an Italian immigrant who combined his farming and tool-making expertise to establish a business rooted in traditional craftsmanship. We specialize in custom-built fences, pergolas, trellises, garden arches, and arbors, all designed as one-of-a-kind originals using premium materials. Our team of skilled professionals brings decades of combined experience to every residential and commercial project, ensuring precision in installation and adherence to local building codes. With a showroom displaying over 90 fence panels and photo albums of completed work, we provide hands-on guidance for clients planning installations. We exclusively serve Northern Ohio, offering free in-home estimates and prioritizing personalized service over DIY kits. Our commitment to quality remains unwavering, preserving the old-world craftsmanship that distinguishes us in an industry where such practices have largely faded.

In the past 18 months I have undertaken a massive renovation and addition to my home. In so doing I have interacted with MANY contractors and service providers -- ELYRIA FENCE HAS BEEN BY FAR THE WORST CONTRACTOR I HAVE EVER INTERACTED WITH. We ordered an aluminum driveway gate in April of 2020 and promptly paid our 1/3 deposit. We were told that the gate would be delivered and installed in September of that year -- frustrating but we moved forward. After October passed (and no communication from the company), I reached out for an update -- no response. I reached out again in December 2020 asking

If I'm spending $4000 you could at least return our calls. Your salesman wrote up the wrong fence and you didn't even try to make it right. Not only that I have to clean up the mounds of dirt you left. Very much disappointed.

Very slow to respond. Lack of follow-up on their end. I would like a repair done on my fence. I have had to call, email and follow back up with them multiple times to obtain the quote and see when I can get scheduled. Still waiting to hear back.

Worked for this company till one of their testy employees spit in my work area and started a fight, was then layed off even though I couldnt collect unemployment because of my job history in other states and led me to believe I would be brought back but then told otherwise because Im too unpredictable. I wouldnt do business with this company, personally. Also theyre 8 months behind on their company installs. And they let crews sub that dont know what theyre doing.
