Roots & Shoots

Roots & Shoots has served the Portland area since 2001, delivering professional tree care services with a personal touch. Our team specializes in fine pruning, tree preservation, and large-scale removals, combining technical expertise with a commitment to client satisfaction. As the only local service offering non-lethal honey bee hive relocation, we prioritize ecological responsibility alongside arboricultural excellence. Owned and operated by Certified Arborists Justin Keane (#1551) and Martha Keane (#6665), we bring decades of combined experience to every project. Our approach emphasizes soil health through vertical mulching and deep root fertilization, addressing tree nutrition at its source.

We provide free estimates for decided projects and charge hourly for consultative services, including arborist reports and hazard evaluations. With specialized equipment for planting trees up to 25 feet tall, we ensure proper installation and long-term growth. Our emergency storm damage cleanup demonstrates our responsiveness to urgent client needs. Client testimonials consistently highlight our professionalism, safety practices, and transformative results on tree health and aesthetics. This reputation for quality has made us a trusted choice for Portland residents seeking expert tree care.
