After needing our septic tank pumped out after 2 years we called this company after seeing their good reviews. We called them on a Monday and they did not come out till Friday. Once they were done on Friday we assumed that they pumped everything out of the septic tank, but come to find out this weekend our septic tank backed up and flooded our master bathroom. We called a different septic tank company and they informed us that Akins did not pump everything out of the septic tank. If you need your septic tank pumped I'd recommend calling a different company.

I would have rated 10 stars if yelp would allow! Wow, what a great company! Answered the phone on a Sunday for a non-emergency call to get a quote. Helped me then but asked very politely and professionally if I would mind calling in Monday to schedule. I called Monday and found everyone to be awesome, fast and friendly. Scheduled service for a few days later.
Got the phone call enroute before my appointment window and was kept in the loop along the way.
Glen was the gentleman that did the work. Super helpful, super effective and efficient. As luck would have I had 2 broken / leaking showers

Simply requested a quote for a camera line inspection on a sanitary pipe. Their site stated they will reply within 24 hours. I requested 6-19-19, it's now July 1st. Don't recommend due to just first impression unprofessionalism.

This company is by far the best in the business they came out found my issue which three other plumbers couldn't diagnose at all they fixed the issue and also was helpful with my insurance adjuster on helping me get invoices over and being very descriptive on they're pricing

Septic problem in late Dec 2017. Misdiagnosis! Akins estimate: $15,000. Actual cost with another company is $4100. No water use for 17 days for family of four. Doesn't start work until late afternoons and doesn't work weekends or holidays. On first visit, the plumber said area needed excavation to diagnose. Two days later after digging site I was told the entire system needed to be replaced because the 45 year old system had "collapsed". He said I would need a permit ($250) from the county in order to start repairs. It was 3:30 pm Dec. 20th. Charges paid are $475

Just don't feel good about my experience. Had called on weekend and set up and appointment for after Memorial Day, and they lost the appointment. Called back again and set up another appointment and was quoted $325 for a pumping on the phone. After they got here, it was raised to $500 because they said it would be more than 1000 gallons since the tank was over-full; but you really have no idea if it is reasonable or bait and switching because they have no meter to tell you how much they pumped. It is just picking numbers out of the sky. Even if it had a couple hundred gallons more --

It took me 3 months researching before I decided to have Akins pump my septic tank. I am so glad I chose them. The price quoted was what I paid and my service guy was Nick. He was extremely friendly and informative. This was the first time I have went through this so he took the time to explain everything he was doing and had no problems answering my questions. You hear so many horror stories people go through from other companies so I am glad to know I chose the right company the first go round. Thanks!
