Above Board Construction & Roofing was founded in March of 2001, when CEO, Carl Hawkins, opened his original roofing company in Humboldt County, California.
In 2005, he added a general B classification to his license, and began not only roofing homes, but building them as well. In 2007, he relocated to Redding, California, even though he performed the majority of his work still in Humboldt County and along the North Coast. Carl has always had a passion for education and properly training the next generation of craftsmen.
In 2018, Carl took on a temporary job as a full-time high-school construction teacher, at California Heritage Youth Build Academy. Due to this experience, Carl has a way of blending his teaching career and years of work in the construction industry, to create a dynamic team environment. We believe that is why we are unmatched when it comes to the execution of excellent work.
