LD Swain installed the HVAC system during construction of my home in 2017. They have taken care of regular maintenance since and there haven't been any issues. They corrected another vendor's epic fail of an attempt to install smart thermostats and patiently explained what went awry. Lesson learned: Call LD Swain first.

I don't write many reviews, but L.D. Swain & Son definitely earned these five stars. Our A/C wasn't working, which was the last thing my eight-months-pregnant wife needed, but Donald managed to fit me in ASAP (despite being totally booked for the next several days), and Shane and my guy Brandon quickly diagnosed the issue, ran a whole new wire through the house, and got our A/C up and running in no time. I'm a new homeowner, but I'm already realizing the value in working with local, family-run businesses like L.D. Swain & Son. They knew my pregnant wife wasn't going to be able to sleep in his

After 20 years with Swain I've moved on for three reasons:
1. Unreliable service that doesn't meet basic expectations.
Swain couldn't come when both of our AC units failed on the hottest day on record since the early 1900's. It's understandable because they were likely overwhelmed. We made an appointment, waited several days, and they were a no-show. Instead of offering an apology, they acted like it was our fault. They would do us a "favor" by squeezing us in at the end of the next day. By the time they came I had missed an extra day of work and my dog was
