Our certified arborists perform precision tree pruning to enhance structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. This service improves tree longevity and reduces storm damage risks for residential and commercial properties.

Tree Removal

Professional tree removal services handle hazardous or dead trees with minimal property impact. Our safety-certified team uses specialized equipment for controlled dismantling. Removed materials are sustainably repurposed through local partnerships or provided as free wood chips to community members.

Plant Health Care

Comprehensive plant health assessments identify and treat issues caused by soil depletion, pests, and environmental stressors. We implement solutions like soil enhancement, root collar excavations, and integrated pest management. These services restore tree vitality and prevent premature decline in urban environments.

Cabling and Bracing

Structural support systems reinforce weak tree limbs to prevent failure. Our arborists install cables and braces to stabilize splits or weak branch unions. This cost-effective alternative to removal preserves valuable trees while maintaining safety and canopy coverage.

Free Wood Chips

We provide free wood chip deliveries to local communities as part of our sustainability initiative. These high-quality chips come from responsibly removed trees and serve as effective landscaping mulch. The program reduces waste while supporting community gardening and erosion control efforts.

The best service I could have imagined after having a massive tree fall on the house. Plenty of companies came by trying to get out business and they all seemed sketch. We found Gill Tree Care through a neighborhood Facebook group and it was the best referral ever. Anya handles all the back office stuff and phones, shes the sweetest person ever with the most calming voice. The owner came out to view the damage and give an estimate literally 15 minutes after talking with her because he was in the area. He was knowledgeable about trees and insurance claims which was helpful because our insurance

Great experience all around with Gill Tree Care. Gill was the best price among 4 or 5 estimates, they showed up on time, did a great job, and finished ahead of schedule. Would highly recommend and we will use them in the future as needs arise.

I had two red maples needing work. One needed to be trimmed back from over a neighbor's yard and the other needed cabling. Brendan came out and gave me a fair price and then when their schedule had an opening, they called and came out the next day. Team was very safe and professional and the results look great.

Professional staff who did a superb job of seeing that tree was removed, debris in my yard (and neighbor's yard) cleaned up, limbs removed and stump ground. Service was reasonably priced and all services completed as agreed upon. Would highly recommend and will use Gill Tree Care if needed again.

Brendan and his team did an excellent job trimming trees around my property, and even an overgrown bush! Brendan did a superb job explaining his recommendations and reasoning during the initial consult. It was also great to meet another Brit (and fellow cricket enthusiast) in Decatur! His team were very professional, prompt, and took care not to disrupt my neighbor's yard, despite having to trim a boundary tree. I highly recommend Gill Tree Care and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Brendan was prompt and was very knowledgeable during the estimate process. He was very realistic with the timing when they could do the work (unlike some companies who stated 6 weeks out and then tried to schedule me 4 months out). When he and his team arrived, we discussed again all the work which needed to be done (I appreciated that). His workers were excellent and not disruptive and even my neighbor commented on how a great job they did. Just an FYI, they were slightly higher then some of the other quotes I received, but it was worth getting it done sooner and the professionalism.

Cannot recommend Gill Tree Service enough! They are top notch and did excellent work at a very reasonable price, as I had obtained multiple quotes. Their crew was fun to have around, executed their work excellently, and they really exceeded any expectations I had going in. Highly recommended.
