Live Edge Slabs
Report
A live edge slab is different from regular board lumber. Typically live edge slabs are much wider than regular lumber and span the entire width of the log from which it was cut. When milling live edge slabs, the natural contour of the log is left on the tree, giving the board a variety of unique characteristics.

Prices are calculated using Board Feet (bf), which is a measure of volume, as opposed to area (square feet) or length (lineal feet). For example: To calculate the board feet in an 4/4 ash board that measures 1-inches thick by 8-inches wide by 8-feet long, the math would look like this: 1 x 8 x 8 12 = 5.3 board feet.
