Septic systems in North Carolina must be designed to fit the soil conditions of the permitted site and the surrounding area. The septic system is an effective, and long-standing method for collecting, treating, and disposing of waste water in rural and suburban homes and businesses. Septic systems are used in every county in North Carolina.
Nearly 50 percent of the state's homes have them. Septic systems are used when centralized waste water treatment plants are not accessible in a community. They safely treat and dispose of waste waters produced in the bathroom, kitchen, and laundry. These waste waters may contain disease-causing germs and pollutants that must be treated to protect human health and the environment.

Installation includes all components providing you with a complete well-functioning new system that will give you dependable service for many years to come. When you notice more and more water seeping up in your lawn or leaking around your drain field it's likely that your septic system is no longer working properly.
Septic Systems
Report
There are many different kinds of septic systems that can be used in the great state of North Carolina. Most of the nearly 2 million systems in use throughout our state are slight modifications of the conventional septic system. The conventional system has a septic tank and a drain-field, usually with gravel-filled trenches (usually two to six trenches).
