Originally founded in 1970 by Ted Liebig Sr. as a small one man sales agency, the company expanded significantly over the next several decades both organically and through the full or partial acquisition of other laminate countertop manufacturing companies in the Midwest. In 2001, the Liebigs entered the stone countertop business by launching StoneTrends LLC in Chesterfield, MO.
