Our engineered gunite pool construction combines structural integrity with aesthetic excellence. Using high-strength steel reinforcement and precision hydraulic balancing, we create durable shells that withstand decades of use. The process includes 3D design visualization, site excavation with drainage optimization, and premium finish options like quartz or Hydrazzo plaster. Each project incorporates energy-efficient equipment packages and seamless integration with outdoor living features such as spas, kitchens, and shade structures.
Pool Remodeling
Transform aging pools with comprehensive remodeling solutions that include replastering, tile replacement, decking upgrades, and equipment modernization. Our team specializes in adding contemporary features like fire elements, waterfalls, and smart automation systems. We address structural issues while enhancing functionality through improved circulation systems and energy-efficient components. Projects range from minor updates to complete backyard overhauls incorporating new patios, outdoor kitchens, and landscape integration.
Pool Replastering
Restore your pool's appearance with professional replastering using premium materials like SunStone quartz finishes, Hydrazzo aggregates, or traditional white marble plaster. Our process includes surface preparation, crack repair, and application of durable, stain-resistant coatings that enhance water clarity. We offer color and texture options to match evolving design preferences while maintaining structural integrity and extending the pool's lifespan through protective surface renewal.
Outdoor Living Design
Create cohesive outdoor environments with integrated living spaces featuring aluminum shade structures, timber patios, and custom kitchens. Our designs coordinate with pool architecture to include fire features, water elements, and in-pool furniture. We incorporate durable decking materials like travertine or spray deck surfaces that balance aesthetics with slip resistance and heat management, creating functional entertainment areas that complement the primary pool structure.
Tile & Coping Replacement
Upgrade pool aesthetics and functionality with tile and coping replacement using premium materials like glass mosaics, porcelain, or natural stone. Our installation ensures proper water drainage while creating visual transitions between pool surfaces and decking. Coping options include travertine, flagstone, or brick selections that enhance durability against weather exposure while maintaining design continuity with surrounding hardscapes.

The contractors that this company routinely uses are always changing and poor quality. Your questions and concerns will be passed back and forth to several people and you will have to get things done over and over to get the work done to your expectations. And mostly due to r evolving contractors with poor quality. And the treatment, disrespect and consideration of the employees that have to go behind and clean up the issues is deplorable. Don't be fooled by award claims and experience. He may have them however they are irrelevant when the work is done by the trash subcontractors with language

Absolutely the best company to work with. Delivered above what was promised and on time. The finished pool looks magnificent. I appreciate the honest communication from the very first phone call. It is great to do business with a company that cares about their finished product as much as the customer. Highly recommend considering Downunda if you are interested building or refinishing a pool or outdoor area.

Downunda Luxury Pools lived up to their reputation. Brett and Michael were excellent every step of the way. Brett created an exceptional design for our pool and back yard space, and Michael is a complete professional during execution. When people all over Houston were stuck weeks or months with muddy holes in their back yards while they awaited Gunite, Downunda dug our hole Nov 3 and blew in our Gunite Nov 6. They do what they say they are going to do and they keep coming back until everything is perfect. I have never had such a great customer service experience. If you are going to go through

We are very impressed with the professionalism of Downunda Pools. Owner Brett Hatfield personally came out to listen to what we wanted and survey our yard to see what would work for us. As it turns out, power lines above the yard preclude us putting in the spa we wanted. But Brett then shifted gears and helped us think about other things that could be done in the yard that might make it a better living space for us. And he did this knowing those ideas would not be utilizing his company. We are sad not to be able to work with Downunda Pools and Brett. But we are happy to meet a man of such integrity
