Services
Tree Removal
We specialize in safe, precision tree removal using modern techniques tailored to each property's unique needs. Our certified arborists assess structural risks and develop customized removal plans to protect surrounding landscapes. From single-tree cuts to crane-assisted dismantling, we ensure complete site cleanup and hazard mitigation while maintaining strict safety protocols.
Pest Control
Our diagnostic services identify tree health threats from pests like spongy moths and environmental stressors. We implement targeted treatment plans using laboratory-tested methods to restore tree vitality. Regular monitoring and preventive care programs help maintain long-term tree health across residential and commercial properties in the Hudson Valley region.
Root Treatments
We address root zone stress through mulching, aeration, and customized fertilization programs. Using air-spade technology, we remove compacted soil without damaging root systems while improving nutrient absorption. Our soil analysis services identify pH imbalances and nutrient deficiencies to create tailored treatment plans for optimal tree growth.
Tree Pruning
Our structural pruning services enhance tree stability and longevity through strategic branch removal. We avoid harmful topping practices, instead using selective cuts to improve canopy structure and reduce storm damage risks. Regular maintenance pruning helps maintain aesthetic appeal while preventing hazardous branch failures near homes and walkways.
Lightning Protection
We install discreet lightning protection systems featuring conductive rods and grounding cables to safeguard valuable trees. These systems safely channel electrical energy into the ground, preventing catastrophic damage to tree trunks and surrounding property. Custom installations protect heritage trees and high-value specimens in exposed locations.

Mike and his crew are professional arborists - they show up prepared, attentive and communicate thoughtfully. They are dedicated to safe and professional practices. I've hired a number of other tree trimming companies in the Hudson Valley who claim to be professionals and Mike and his team are head and shoulders above the fray. I strongly recommend hiring Woodworks Tree Service - like most professional service oriented companies, they are booked out, but it's worth it for top notch pruning! (pun intended)

Mike came out to give me an estimate, was actually EARLY - when does THAT happen. He knows what he is talking about and he did a beautiful job on my trees. He didn't drive heavy equipment on my lawn and asked if he could do the job a week earlier. I have never been so impressed. He did exactly what he said he would do and I couldn't ask for anything more. What a great guy and a great team!

Excellent crew. On time, very careful removing large pieces of a mulberry tree without damaging surrounding trees, shrubs, fence, or themselves! And a thorough cleanup afterwards. Highly recommend Mikes business.

Within 5 seconds of approaching our property, Mike knew every tree and the appropriate course of action to take. He is an encyclopedia of tree knowledge. A detailed estimate was provided and we were given the option to keep some or all of the woodchips and logs, or have them haul it away at no extra cost. Highly recommended!
