We are a family-owned and operated business operating out of West Des Moines, Iowa. Originally from Rock Valley, Iowa, Jon Wallenburg founded Solid Rock Landscaping LLC in March of 2003. His brother, Chris, is a co-owner and has been with the company for about a decade. In addition to us, we employ six full-time crew members.
We enjoy helping people with their outdoor living spaces! We use products from top brands such as VERSA-LOK retaining wall products, Willow Creek Paving Stones, Kichler Lighting Products, and Rochester Concrete Products. Jon has a two-year business degree from Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls, SD.
He began his landscaping career in NW Iowa where he was a laborer and foreman for a few years, then moved to Des Moines to run a landscaping business for Wolf Construction for another three years. Jon then started his own business, Solid Rock Landscaping LLC, in 2003. Jon continues to operate as both the business manager and the on-site crew manager.

Chris will provide a design so you can visualize how it will look once complete. The design will be to scale, and either hand-drawn or computer generated using 3D technology.

We have three ICPI-certified installers on staff - Jon Wallenburg (founder and co-owner), long-time employees and crew leaders, Travis Hall and Justin German. We guarantee that one or both of them will be on location for all paving projects.
