Garry V. Hughes is the founder and Vice -President of Hughes Construction Company, Inc. (HCCI). In 1960, he began building single family residential housing. By 1965, the company expanded into the development and construction of commercial and industrial projects. Over the next six years, HCCI acted as the general contractor on numerous shopping centers, office buildings, convenience stores, retail outlets, and libraries.

He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree and a Juris Doctorate Degree. Prior to joining the Hughes Companies, he was a practicing attorney.
