Since 1922, Young & Pratt has provided mechanical contracting, including HVAC, plumbing, pipe-fitting, air conditioning service and metal fabrication to discerning local governments and corporations. This locally-owned company has worked on some of Central Texas' most recognizable projects for the better part of the last century. We perform specialized services for technology companies, including extensive work on LEED projects. In addition, we custom-fabricate metal for all types of industries and uses.

About
In West Texas in 1922, partners J.D. Young, a sheet metal worker, and Frank M. Pratt, a plumber and pipefitter, teamed up to provide reliable HVAC services. When the growth of The University of Texas spurred a building boom in 1929 - while the rest of the nation was struggling through the Depression - Young & Pratt made the move to Austin.
A/c Service & Repair
This locally-owned company has worked on some of Central Texas' most recognizable projects. When your HVAC system goes down, hundreds of people get uncomfortable - fast. Young & Pratt offers preventative maintenance to help avoid downtime - and when you're down, we get there fast. We can even arrange for temporary cooling or heating while we work.
Sheet Metal Hvac
This locally-owned company has worked on some of Central Texas' most recognizable projects. Few companies offer our breadth of services, and our fabrication shop truly sets us apart. Sure, we create ductwork for HVAC needs, but we've also created specialty semiconductor items, such as clean room tables, floor access panels, exhaust manifolds - and much more - all out of stainless steel.
Plumbing & Pipefitting Hvac
This locally-owned company has worked on some of Central Texas' most recognizable projects. We've installed 1,000,000 gallon chilled water storage systems and we've installed hundreds of toilets within a stadium. From chillers and cooling towers to one of the first rainwater harvesting systems, we've fabricated and installed projects calling for road closures, special permitting, overhead cranes, and more.
Bim
This locally-owned company has worked on some of Central Texas' most recognizable projects. Using the latest building information modeling (BIM) tools, we're able to collaborate and coordinate many details of your project. This gives all of us the data to create models that inform your project, help us reduce errors, predict potential problems, and improve overall quality and efficiency.
Safety & Sustainability
Safety and efficiency on the job is our top priority. Young & Pratt shop and field employees complete OSHA-10 and in many cases OSHA-30 training. And we don't stop there - we use a third-party job site safety inspection service in our shop and on our projects, and our employees go through a multi-year training program to give them the skills to do the job safely the first time.
