Tops Unlimited started the same way that most startup companies do, in a garage. We started our company in the late-80s with just one product line, Laminate Countertops. By the time the late 90s came around, we had expanded to our current 22,000 square foot location in Ankeny, Iowa. That's when we began to fabricate acrylic tops (like Corian) and continued our laminate countertop fabrications.

We save leftover pieces of material from completed jobs which can be perfect for smaller projects around the home. Most pieces are less than 20 square feet and could be used for bathroom vanities, smaller counters, tabletops, kitchen islands, cutting boards and shelving. Really anywhere a smaller piece of quality material might enhance the interior or exterior of your home.
Fabrication

The countertop fabrication process begins with a digital template. The next step would be taking the template and converting it to CAD drawings that can be used with our CNC's to cut and shape and begin polishing the stone. Once the stone is cut and polishing has begun we finish polishing all exposed edges with a combination of edgers, CNC bits and hand polishers.

Each countertop surface is different and requires a different maintenance routine to keep it looking clean and beautiful. Follow the manufactures instructions so your new countertops stay as nice as the day they were installed. Hey Doug; just wanted to say your installers did a great job, we're very happy with how all three countertops turned out. Fit is excellent and the guys were friendly and careful. Please pass that on to Rick too. I can't thank Tops Unlimited enough! My Husband has been deployed with the Iowa Army National Guard since May of 2016.
