$79 Dispatch Fee did not include anything beyond minimal diagnostic work. Was told that low head pressure (low refrigerant) was the most likely cause, but $235 gauge hookup fee would be required to test. Was told that refrigerant would be $110 a lb but that did not include a hookup fee to add the refrigerant to the system. Its unclear if the $235 gauge fee would have been credited to the repair bill. I paid the $79 and parted ways.

The installation went well but I found the follow-up maintence contract for service to be less than satisfactory. Despite the purchase of the service contract, soon after the installation, I had trouble with a sophisticated thermostat which I had paid $500 extra for, it was replaced with a simple thermostat for an additional fee. The service person then attempted to leave with the thermostat that I had paid over $500 for without offering any compensation at all. When I resisted and asked for compensation I was told the thermostat was not covered in the installation. The last scheduled service

When my furnace broke down after business hours service was still scheduled quickly and easily for the next day. The service tech arrived an hour ahead of schedule and diagnosed the problem in minutes. The repair required a part that he did not have with hi, but he went out of his way to get the part and still get my furnace up and running within a couple of hours. It was really a pleasure watching somebody work that really knew what he was doing, and cared about my needs.
