Furniture Footies were developed by elementary school teacher Margaret Johnson to deal with the frequent screeching sounds of desks and chairs sliding around the classroom, as well as custodial staff's concerns over floor scratching. Unhappy with the products on the market, Margaret decided to create her own products.
