Ted & Ron Hoover were born and raised in Orangeburg County, SC. After some time the brothers visited Wisconsin where they learned the basics of post frame construction. In 1972 the brothers went into business for themselves, establishing Hoover Building Systems on a 3 acre site in Lexington SC. In 1984 Hoover Building Systems moved to its current location, a 10-acre site in the heart of Lexington, SC.
