Questions
What solar incentives are available in Missouri?
Columbia residents qualify for $375-625/kW rebates and low-interest loans. Ameren customers receive $250/kW rebates. Federal tax credits apply to qualifying systems.
How long does installation take?
Residential installations typically complete within 2-4 weeks after permitting. Commercial projects vary based on system complexity and size.
Do solar panels work in winter?
Yes. Panels generate electricity year-round in Missouri. Snow melts naturally, and net-metering credits offset winter production reductions.
What maintenance do solar systems require?
Annual inspections recommended. Panels rarely need cleaning due to Missouri precipitation. Squirrel guards prevent animal damage, and monitoring systems alert us to performance issues.
Can I add battery storage later?
Yes. Our systems design allows for future battery integration. We'll assess your existing setup to determine optimal storage solutions.
Are solar systems covered by insurance?
Most homeowners policies cover solar panels like permanent fixtures. We recommend verifying coverage details with your insurance provider.
