The idea of home has never been more important. As humans across the world take refuge inside, we are becoming increasingly aware of its importance. Home simultaneously helps to comfort us, inspire us, and express to the world who we are. Home is at once a private retreat and a public statement.
For over 15 years, my firm has been helping creative and discerning clients re-imagine the meaning of home in one of the most beautiful places in the country.For a century, Palm Springs has attracted curious, colorful, and entrepreneurial individuals to its unique desert landscape. In the midcentury, Hollywood celebrities and emerging architects coalesced here to create what became a style movement.
These celebrities were, of course, beautiful and glamorous. Palm Springs was one of the only places in the world where they could just - simply, finally, at last - be themselves. That idea of beauty and glamour, combined with easy-ness and real-ness, is something I strive for in all the projects and products that I design.
