We will measure the site, take photographs, investigate the site conditions, and clearly define the scope of work in relation to your needs, goals, schedule and budget. An inspiration file of images and ideas is very useful to get us moving ahead quickly.

I am a self-taught furniture designer/craftsman who began my career as an independent artisan and custom builder. I started Built from Salvage in 2005, with the purpose of engaging in a more environmentally sound way to serve my clients. I am a Bay Area resident and native of Venezuela, with over 20 years of building experience in residential and commercial jobs.
Midcentury Modern Home

This midcentury modern home in Kensington, CA needed a major overhaul to make it work for a family of four. In the kitchen, we painted the existing cabinets, and added a lowered height island to make the client's baking hobby more comfortable. Quartz counters in contrasting colors and textures add interest, a band of tile behind the stove creates a focal point, and a custom-designed railing to the lower level adds a conversation piece.
