In 1981, my Mom and Dad purchased Mr. Beam Lumber in Cohasset, MA. Shortly thereafter, they moved the business to our current location, on Route 139 in Pembroke, MA.
We specialized in Beams, Mantles, Wide Pine Flooring, Wood Burning Stoves & Cabinetry. My Dad was a school teacher by day and my Mom would work at our store and he would relieve her after school. They have 5 children, so we would often be here if we were home sick from school and on weekends. I have fond memories of going with my Dad to mills in New Hampshire to pick up lumber.
I had a passion for hewing beams & mantles and learned to make and build cabinetry. I went on to earn a Bachelors degree in Accounting and started my own business. I married my wife Kim in 1998 and we have three boys, Michael, Tyler & Noah. In 2000, I came to the realization I was destined to carry on our family business, something I always had a passion for and had been missing dearly over the years.
