Founded by Karen and Guy Vidal in 2000, Vidal Design Collaborative is a Design-Build Firm and an AIA Affiliate. It creates beautiful and functional spaces for living, working and leisure. Its work includes additions, interior design, landscape design and hospitality projects.
The practice has been fundamental in helping to establish the aesthetic now synonymous with the Eastside of LA - born out of influences in mid-century design, eastern traditions, textile design, cement tiling, stone and timber work.Vidal Design Collaborative's creative spirit has evolved from a desire to retain the authentic architecture of the neighborhoods they love.
With this end, and working alongside its team, the studio has delivered more than 250 Design-Build projects across Los Angeles. Our studio is proud to have worked on many homes by noted architects including John DeLario, P.P Lewis, and Kempler Noumand. The studio continues to evolve and explore new design opportunities.

Los Feliz Pool House
Report
Our client's at this home in Los Feliz asked us to make their backyard more liveable. The previous owners had added a pool on the top terrace with no shelter, seating or facilities. The project began with the design of a sweeping timber roof structure that would provide shade for seating and a spa underneath.

Beachwood Canyon Home

Designed by John DeLario, the house was full of character but was in need of updating for contemporary family living. Some subtle adjustments to the floorplan allowed us to relocate the master bedroom, creating space for a new Jack and Jill bathroom. We filled the house with mementos and reminders of the family's world travels - from Moroccan encaustic tile to custom plaster work and textiles from India, Indonesia and Mexico.
Rancho Alegre
Report
Down a hidden private drive lies a magical Spanish compound that is as lovely as it is unique. The walled and gated property is an unexpected surprise that transports you to another era. The main home features 3 bedrooms and boasts rustic character and original charm with hardwood floors, fireplaces and original architectural details.
