Apartment building in Houston, Texas had just started taking off and they joined a large production framing crew. They were trained in all phases of the conventional framing process.
Little did they realize at the time, that they were to become pioneers in multi-family production framing in Texas. The brothers swung hammers doing piece work for various framing contractors until around 1974, when they started roofing apartments as well. They went on to growing one of the largest turnkey apartment roofing companies in the US.
By the early 1980's the brothers were framing and roofing thousands of units a year. They had a loyal following of craft crews, some of whom are still with them today. In 1986 the apartment market in Texas crashed, forcing the brothers to downsize their company. They sought work on the east coast, where they accepted an offer to help rebuild the Charleston Navy and Air force bases after the devastation of Hurricane Hugo.

Most builders' project goals are typically focused on bringing the job in under budget, reducing their cost liability, enhancing their reputation, while building safely, in a quality fashion and on or ahead of schedule. Let's face it, the framing shell can make or break any job. In our experience, most builders have millions of dollars and their reputation at stake and naturally dislike unpredictable outcomes.

I have conducted business with Mike Cahoon for over a decade now. During that time Razor has maintained the "Outstanding" Performance Rating given to them on the very first project in our business relationship. Over the years I have found Razor to be a likeminded Team of Professionals, dedicated to their craft in every aspect of their business.
