Yard Smart provides weekly lawn mowing and edging for Long Island homes. Our weekly maintenance service also includes removing weed and turning of the beds, and general cleaning up of your property. We also remove any garbage, debris and branches on your property. Weekly maintenance is the weekly mowing and edging of the lawn, weeding and turning of the beds, and general cleaning and maintenance of your property.
Fertilizer and Pest Control Program

Ensuring your yard is fertilized and protected properly from various invasive pests is vital to the health and well being of your lawn and shrubbery. Yard Smart maintains its New York State Pesticide license and offers completely integrated organic and inorganic lawn treatment programs at the most reasonable prices available.
Clean ups

Spring and Fall Clean ups are vital to the health and well being of your lawn. In the spring we clean up any leaves left over from the winter, thatch the lawn which removes any dead grass, allowing new grass to grow, seed and for those customers with a fertilizer program, put down an application of lime and spring blend of fertilizer.
Seed and Sod installation

New Seed and Sod installation are the two main methods of installing a lawn. Sod is pre-grown grass that is installed on the surface of a property. Within a few weeks the roots from the sod penetrate to the surface soil below and the sod will adhere to the ground. Sod offers an immediate and flawless lush, green lawn.
Aerating, power seeding and thatching

Aerating is the process of systematically puncturing the top layer of soil in a lawn and allowing the infiltration of water, oxygen and nutrients to the roots of the grass. After about two months, the soil also softens up alleviating the issue of constriction on the existing root system. At Yard Smart, we Aerate every lawn in September with a high quality Fescue Seed.
