With over 25 years experience, Basic Builders is the premier kitchen installer of Ikea style cabinets in the New Jersey & New York metro area. Husband & wife team Peter and Lissa Welles are both Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute graduates, each holding a B.S. in mechanical engineering. We call ourselves the Kitchen Engineers. Our design service includes a two hour private session in your home creating your dream kitchen.

Frequently, we work with suppliers who specialize in providing doors, panels and drawer fronts that are meant to sync with the IKEA frames.

Our experience and understanding of their products allows for maximum function and ease of use, resulting in the beautiful kitchen you've always wanted. We hate those dead corners as much as you do. Our team knows which components can be customized around that crazy wall obstruction to make use of hidden space.

Why take chances when it comes to installing your kitchen? To date, Basic Builders has installed hundreds of IKEA kitchens. We designed the first IKEA certified Kitchen Installer program in the U.S. and also were part of IKEA's Certified Installer Program while it was active. We love IKEA cabinets and have them in our own home.
Faq

Client submits photos and/or sketch via email, Basic Builders emails questionnaire; client returns questionnaire. If proposal falls within your budget, we will schedule a measurement/design consultation site visit. Day 3 & 4: Flooring installed (by others) Please note: Basic Builders no longer offers floor installation services; client is responsible for obtaining those services separately.
