In the mid 70's, Bill Schaafsma, Sr. started Sid's Landscaping. Since the closing of the retail store in 2011, the landscaping business went through a name change and is now known as Sid's Unlimited Landscaping. Sid's Unlimited Landscaping's design and estimating team consists of Bill Schaafsma, Sr. with over 35 years of designing experience and Bill Schaafsma, Jr. with over 20 years of experience.

The landscaping process begins with a free initial consultation in which a Sid's Unlimited Landscaping designer will come to your location and work one-on-one with you to discover your desire and vision, to share ideas and to develop a basic concept for your project. A backyard waterfall and/or pond can be a stunning, even therapeutic, addition to your home.

My wife and I hired Sid's to improve the landscaping around our townhouse in Palos Park. This was the second best decision that I made in my life, my wife was the first! Bill, the owner, promptly came out to our house to work up an estimate after we read so many wonderful reviews online about Sid's. I didn't even get a second estimate because I knew this was the guy! Polite, easy going and fun to work with and with the best group of employees, the job was done in 4 days as promised. We can't say enough good things about our experience. It was first class all the way!

John came out to give me a quote. He was knowledgeable on what would grow well in certain areas and what to stay away from due to local disease. Within the week he had a quote for me and a mapped plan. Once we changed a couple of things, Sids was out in a couple of weeks. They finished my project in 2 days and it looks great! They also made sure to clean up at the end of the day. John made sure I was happy with the work. I would recommend them for all your landscaping needs!

Bill is a good honest guy, a real Chicago guy, tells you as it is. His crew, is beyond hard working. I had a drain tiles installed down the middle of my backyard and connected to my down spouts. The utmost attention to detail, they listened to concerns and came up with solutions on the spot. I will definitely refer Bill, and call for my next project.

I would definitely recommend Sid's. I had two sidewalks & a flagstone walkway replaced with pavers. It looks beautiful! Bill Jr & his team were amazing. When they say they'll be on the job at a certain time they are right on time. And if Bill says he'll call you he calls. So nice to do business with such a professional company. Thanks again for a great job !

I just had all my overgrown evergreens and bushes removed and replaced with decorative brick and stone. I was very happy with the finished product. Bill S. and his team worked very hard, my house looks so much better. Bill did a few little things not on the estimate that I truly appreciate.
