I was born in McMinnville Oregon but grew up in a small town southwest of Portland called Amity. The word "Amity" stems from the Latin word amicus, which means friendships and relationships. Amity was the embodiment of the tight-knit community that I had surrounded myself with; I played on the football team, loved to make things by hand and grew up with the blessed knowledge that neighbors take care of each other.
