Our Mediterranean modern waterfront homes feature innovative structural solutions for challenging coastal environments. Projects include comprehensive coordination with engineers and landscape architects to create cohesive living environments that maximize natural light and ocean views while maintaining structural integrity.
Additions
Our second-story additions and garage conversions optimize existing property footprints. We incorporate dramatic design elements like floating stairs and vaulted ceilings while ensuring structural compatibility with original construction. Recent projects demonstrate our ability to seamlessly integrate new spaces with historic building materials and architectural styles.
Remodels
We specialize in complete gut remodels of mid-century and contemporary homes. Our services include electrical/mechanical system upgrades, layout reconfigurations, and modernization of exterior facades while preserving architectural character. We transform outdated spaces into functional, energy-efficient living environments with improved flow and natural light integration.
ADU Units
We design accessory dwelling units that comply with California regulations while maximizing usable space. Our solutions include detached units and conversions of existing structures, incorporating energy-efficient systems and multi-generational living considerations. Projects maintain aesthetic harmony with primary residences while providing independent living amenities.
Energy-Efficient Architecture
Our practice incorporates passive solar principles and sustainable materials in all projects. We implement advanced insulation techniques, energy recovery ventilation systems, and solar-ready infrastructure. With expertise dating to 1975 solar research publications, we create homes that minimize environmental impact while maintaining modern comfort standards.
