Services
Drilling
Report
Ezra Construction specializes in drilling and construction in hard to reach locations with tight access. Most drill rigs are very large and cannot be utilized in basements, on hillsides, or in any tight spaces. Using portable drilling rigs and mini excavators, even projects with limited access can be reached.
Retaining Walls
Report
Retaining walls come in all shapes and sizes. Some are made of concrete, others wood, and some even from steel beams for posts. Retaining walls are built in order to keep soil in place whether on a hillside or to create a tiered effect in your garden or backyard. Retaining walls require planning and can have many considerations including (but not limited to) soil, drainage, loads, retaining wall height, site geology, etc.
Tiebacks
Report
Tieback anchors, sometimes called soil nails, are a structural element used to stabilize a structure. Tiebacks can be used to support an existing structure or as an added element for new construction. To install tiebacks, Ezra Construction drills a small shaft into soil, typically in a 15-45 degree angle.
Helical Piers
Report
A helical pier is a steel shaft with round helix plates that provides a foundation support for various types of structures. When the pier is rotated into the ground, the helix plates generate an axial thrust causing the pier to advance into the ground much like a screw into wood.
Underpinning
Report
Underpinning is a method of construction that sees the depth of the foundations to a building being increased. The soil beneath the existing foundation is excavated and is replaced with foundation material, normally concrete, in phases. Foundations literally hold homes in place. In California where we encounter seismic activity with some regularity it is especially important to have a structurally sound foundation.
