Bob first got his hands dirty as he helped his mother landscape their new house in Toms River. He was nine years old. At twelve, he started cutting some of the neighbors' lawns, and by the age of seventeen he was handling 110 lawn maintenance accounts in a local retirement community. With the help of his mother's borrowed credit card, Bob purchased two brand-new, self-driven lawnmowers from Sears.
