Blue Parrot Painting's owner Tim Zaerr began his painting career on the western slope of Colorado. The quality of his work was quickly recognized and his painting skills were soon in demand at the Vail and Beaver Creek resorts painting custom homes, restaurants and hotels. Tim relocated back to Boulder where he now paints all types of homes, and includes offices, restaurants and commercial buildings in his portfolio.

Often heard greeting the neighbors with a distinct, almost too loud, 'HI, ' Matisse talks up a storm. He can carry on one half of a phone conversation and often gives himself a stern 'NO!' when he knows he is doing something he shouldn't. He is a sweet parrot and quite gentle. Matisse's favorite foods are bananas, pizza, grapes, pecans and walnuts.
