We bought a 1960s ranch house in Lakeview and the ductwork was a disaster - leaking everywhere, covered in mold from years of humidity, and completely undersized for the new system we wanted. The team did a full duct replacement with Aeroseal sealing, added a whole-house dehumidifier, and installed a new Trane system. The difference in air quality is night and day. My allergies have basically disappeared. The crew was professional, respectful of our home, and finished on schedule.

I've been using New Orleans Mechanical Pros for our annual maintenance contract for three years now. They come out twice a year - spring and fall - clean the coils, check refrigerant levels, inspect the electrical, and give me a written report. Last spring they caught a cracked heat exchanger before it became a carbon monoxide issue. That alone is worth the cost of the contract ten times over. Honest, thorough, and always on time.

Had a mini-split installed in my workshop/garage in Chalmette. The technician assessed the space, recommended the right BTU size for the square footage and ceiling height, and installed a Mitsubishi unit that runs whisper-quiet. He also explained how to use the inverter technology to save on electricity - I had no idea mini-splits were that efficient. The installation was clean, the lineset was routed neatly, and he even patched the wall penetration perfectly. Very happy.

Our 1890s Creole cottage in the Marigny has quirky ductwork from three different renovation eras. Every HVAC company we called said it was too complicated or quoted us astronomical prices. Good experience overall. They were on time, diagnosed the problem quickly (bad blower motor), and had the part available. The repair took about 90 minutes. My only minor complaint is that they were a bit hard to reach by phone initially - had to leave a voicemail. But once they called back, everything went smoothly. I called about a strange smell coming from my vents turned out to be a dead animal in the ductwork (not uncommon in older NOLA homes). The technician handled it professionally, sanitized the affected duct section, and did a full duct inspection while he was at it. He found two significant leaks that were costing me money every month. The duct sealing paid for itself within a few billing cycles. Very thorough and no judgment about the critter situation!
