Julie Sanfilippo, Cedar House Design Collective co-founder, brings her industrial design expertise and eye for detail honed through roles at the Boston Aquarium and Hasbro. With education from Yale and RISD, she leads drafting, construction plans, project planning, and execution to ensure seamless results reflecting each clients vision.
Erika Twohig
Partner & Creative Design Director
Erika Twohigs entrepreneurial spirit and passion for interiors led her to co-found Cedar House Design Collective. With a business degree from Bryant University and experience managing large brand portfolios, Erika now leads the creative vision, material sourcing, furniture layouts, budgeting, and client relationships for Cedar Houses projects. Inspired by coastal New England, she crafts awe-inspiring interiors that resonate with each clients lifestyle.

Julie and Erika brought my dream bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room to life in my Westerly homeand somehow exceeded even my highest expectations. They translated my vision into a space that feels more "me" than I ever could have imagined, perfectly balancing style, comfort, and functionality. They truly captured what it means to make a house a home.

We used Cedar House Design for our vacation home in Narragansett, RI, and we couldn't be happier with the result. Aesthetically, the house is exactly what we wanted. It is a wonderful mix of Erika's design, with our input. Everyone who comes visit is stunned by the uniqueness, beauty and feel of the space. Beyond the design aspect, we hired CHD to project manage the construction, the sub contractors and the receiving and instillation of furniture. This was all handled without any issue. Our project was finished on time, and within our agreed upon budget. As with any project there were a few small punch list items that needed to be completed, and they were excellent at seeing those through. Overall we are very happy, and plan to use them again for future projects. And are happy to recommend them to others.

Working with Cedar House Design Collective was truly a 5-star experience. Erika and Julie are not only very talented designers with a solid knowledge of the construction process, they are also dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service. They were incredibly responsive and creative in dealing with the inevitable surprises that arise with a remodeling. They also worked very smoothly with our contractor and subcontractors, making the process seamless from our perspective. We wouldnt do another remodeling without them.
