Our Team

A Colorado resident from childhood, Lain Chappell graduated from Wasson High School and then went on to attend and graduate from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. He founded Solid Rock Construction in 1995, focusing on finishing basements, but has since expanded with Solid Rock Custom Homes in 2004 and is now experienced in all facets of new home construction and remodeling, as well as commercial building.

This remodel for a professional couple was the biggest-budget basement remodel Lain Chappell, CGR, CGB, owner of Solid Rock Construction has done to date. As the couple saved their money, they collected photos of what they wanted, which, Chappell said, made it much easier for him to understand what they wanted.

Lain appears with design team member Constance Ramos. HGTV team members Ty Pennington, Ed Sanders, Michael Moloney, and Eduardo Xol work with local contractors to complete the Barrett's home. In 2005, HGTV Extreme Makeover Home Edition team ventured to Peyton, CO to assist an extraordinary family in need: the Barrett family.
