Smart Spaces is a locally-owned, non-franchised company located 10 minutes south of downtown Denver. We serve Colorado's Front Range with the largest Murphy Bed showroom in Colorado. Our primary focus is on Murphy & Wall Beds, accompanying custom cabinetry, home offices, custom closets and pantries, entertainment and media centers, storage spaces, vacation homes and cabins, group sleep facilities, and more.

Old-timers will recognize our building as the original home of the Denver Dumb Friends League. Smart Spaces was founded in 2004 and moved to its current location just south of downtown Denver in 2006.
The 7,500 square foot building includes both the showroom and shop facilities, enabling designers and production staff to work closely together. Over the years, we have designed, manufactured and installed over 4,000 unique room solutions, most of which incorporate a Murphy or Wall Bed.

The Bed Mechanism

Our mechanism allows the Wall or Murphy Bed to go up or down with one-handed ease. The Murphy Bed mechanism is made of supreme steel, spring-loaded and is sturdy enough for us to use in commercial applications such as hospitals, fire stations and rental units. It carries a 25-year warranty; you can work directly with us as we are an authorized dealer of the Murphy Bed mechanism.

While our job is to design, manufacture and install all of the component furniture for your room, the process actually starts with the client. If you are just curious about our products we are always happy to speak with you or walk you around our showroom. If you have something in mind, though, a little preparation can go a long way.

Our most common client is someone who wants an extra bed for occasional guests, but only has limited space and wants it to "disappear" when not in use. These people can be condo owners, both in town and at resorts, families that have parents visiting and "man cavers". Less than 10% of clients use their Murphy wall bed every day.

The Cabinet Murphy Bed by Night and Day Furniture is the ideal space solution where the room is small or has low ceilings.
