Mainly because it feels better. Almost any new lumber you'll purchase these days is grown in ecologically sensitive areas or unsustainable tree farms that use an extensive amount of energy and resources to harvest, process and ship products. At Parkman Woodworks we use wood that has been recovered locally, which decreases the waste output on nearly every level of the supply chain.
Reclaimed Wood Dining Tables

These dining tables are handmade using wood that was reclaimed from Los Angeles homes, office buildings and factories built in the early twentieth century, when our fair city was first finding its place in the world. We've repurposed this time-tested lumber for our tabletops and paired it with welded steel frames as a means of honoring our history and sustaining our future.
