This journey started in my college days. As a Chemistry major, with many classes and labs, I was limited to working on weekends. I worked as a carpet cleaning technician using the Host Dry Cleaning method (the method we still use today). I was impressed with this cleaning method and started learning the trade.

Our HOST Dry Extraction cleaning method only uses about a teaspoon of liquid per square foot of carpet to get the carpets cleaned. The traditional wet cleaning method uses about 40 times that amount. Half to a full cup of liquid per sq.ft. is normal for the wet cleaning process, which leaves wasted water to evaporate.
