Gerke Excavating Inc. in Western Wisconsin has been operating for more than 65 years. In 1947, owner Allan Gerke purchased a dump truck and so began the family business. Allan's sons, Richard and Paul, started working full time in 1963 and 1965. Richard and Paul took over the company in 1978 - by 1988 and 1993, Paul's sons started working with the family as well.

Material Sales

Typically composed of crushed rock. Aggregate Base Course is used for the layer of material directly under asphalt or concrete. Generally "ABC" is sized as 1/4" or 3/4" but can be crushed smaller by request. ABC can be used for driveways, paths, roads and anything that needs a hard surface. Ag Lime is a soil additive made from pulverized limestone.
