Quincy Rug Works

Quincy Rug Works was established in 1926 as a carpet weaving company located on Maine St. and later moved to Eighth and Monroe. As time went by, oriental and area rug cleaning became the primary business. When wall-to-wall carpet became popular, Quincy Rug Works began cleaning in customer's homes. Over the years, several methods of cleaning were used, the modern method being hot water extraction, commonly known as "steam cleaning".

This method is the preferred method recommended by all major manufacturers. Furniture cleaning, commercial carpet cleaning, and walk off mat services were added to Quincy Rug Works services. Past owners of Quincy Rug Works were, Art and Marion Brown and their son Nelson. In 1990, Richard and Jennifer Bliven and their sons Rich Jr. and Michael purchased the business.
