Bergen Water Gardens was founded in the late 1990s as a backyard business and has grown into a premier destination for aquatic plants, lotus, and pond supplies. We built our first greenhouse in 2000 on 16 acres in Churchville, New York, expanding to specialize in pond supplies, koi, carnivorous plants, and lotus. In 2015, we introduced Chinese lotus tubers to North America, offering nearly 200 varieties by 2018. Our collection of Jingdezhen porcelain pots complements our aquatic plants, blending horticultural expertise with traditional craftsmanship. We hybridize lotus to develop new varieties while maintaining the largest Chinese lotus collection in North America.Our mission is to provide pond owners with everything needed for successful water gardening, including aquatic plants, koi, and unique conifers. We host events like LotusFest to celebrate aquatic gardening and share knowledge with enthusiasts. Our team combines decades of experience in cultivating lotus, orchids, and carnivorous plants. A lovely selection and even lovelier people! I couldn't recommend enough! Even if you don't have an interest in carnivorous plants they have tons of other plants as well please take the time and look at the Lotus'!

I dont even know where to start!! Such a beautiful and warm space, amazing variety of lotus and carnivorous plants, and their greenhouses are PACKED with amazing goodies!! Every plant is extremely healthy, and very fairly priced compared to lots of others Ive seen across the internet. I love everything about this place, Lily and Larry are some of the most generous people Ive had the chance of meeting and they are such a sparkling gem in the local plant community! Cant get enough of them!

The owners are so helpful at helping to pick out plants that are suitable for my growing conditions. They have so much knowledge and patiently answer all of my questions in person or over the phone. The store's selection is unlike any other nursery in the northeast, and their quality and prices can't be beat even when comparing to online plant vendors.

Ive been to Bergen many times, its an amazing spot for carnivorous plants especially! Every plant Ive purchased has been fairly priced and wonderfully healthy. They even have my favorite giant koi fish. Lily and Larry are the best!!
