Curbside Pickup or Delivery
Your message may need to be directed to another staff person who will call you back within 24 hours to answer more specific requests. If you are ordering ONLY bagged goods, we will ask for an email address where we can send the loading ticket. As proof of purchase, you will need to present your ticket as a printout or on your smartphone to the loading attendee.

Annuals
We receive our first Annuals in late April - typically pansies! We offer flowering annuals and annual accent plants for full sun, part sun/shade and full shade. Some more unusual annuals include nicotiana, amaranth and annual salvias. Accent plants, typically not grown for their flowers, include vinca, spikes, ivies, annual grasses, sweet potato vine, licorice plant, eucalyptus and more.
Perennials
Perennials are herbaceous plants that die-back mostly to the ground-level each fall and emerge again the following spring. Short-lived perennials, like poppy, will return each year for about five years but others, like peony, may become established enough to survive for decades. Perennials can become so large that they stop flowering.
Trees & Shrubs
Trees and shrubs give your landscape structure and definition whether they frame a view or block it. Because they don't die back to the ground in winter, they can add elegance to your home's architecture, soften a hardscape or establish an entryway year-round. Trees typically have a single trunk and reach twenty feet or more in height.
Bagged Goods
When we talk about bagged goods, we are referring to varieties and blends of mulch, soil, compost, and growing media. Also in this department, we include fertilizers and specific soil amendments or minerals. Pest Solutions
Pest Solutions are all the tools gardeners use to keep pest pressure down and increase plant beauty or plant production. Most "solutions" are better termed "strategies" for making the ever-present pests manageable. We offer herbicides, insecticides and fungicides in a range of organic and biorational products as well as broad-spectrum chemical solutions formulated for the homeowner.
Pottery
Whether you want pottery-- terra cotta clay to heavy glazed-- or other containers like cast iron to cedar wood boxes-- containers set the tone for your plantings at your entrance or around your patio and pool. We have small containers to show off interesting houseplants. We have orchid containers - more like perches - to hold moss or bark and help roots stay damp.

Spring-flowering Bulbs (Daffodils, Hyacinth, Tulips, Crocus etc.) can be planted in the garden around the Berkshires from late September and while soil can still be. Sometimes we use the terms compost and mulch interchangeably which may create some confusion about what makes them different from each other.
