Services
Tree Risk Assessments
Our certified arborist evaluates tree stability and potential hazards using visual inspections and specialized tools. We identify structural weaknesses, disease, or environmental stressors to recommend mitigation strategies. This service ensures safety for properties and occupants while preserving valuable trees through data-driven decisions.
Eco Remediation
We clean contaminated soils using organic methods involving microbes and plants. This process revitalizes soil ecosystems damaged by chemicals or synthetic fertilizers. Our approach improves plant health naturally while minimizing environmental disruption, making it ideal for properties transitioning to sustainable landscaping practices.
Integrated Plant Health Care
This proactive strategy combines fertilization, irrigation, and disease control to strengthen tree immunity. We address stress factors like urban conditions to prevent infestations and decay. Regular assessments ensure long-term tree vitality through balanced soil ecology and targeted interventions.
Arborist Reports
We provide detailed written analyses of tree conditions for legal or municipal purposes. These reports establish liability for hazardous trees and guide property management decisions. Our documentation meets regulatory requirements while offering practical solutions for tree preservation or removal.
Pre-Construction Consulting
We develop tree protection plans before construction projects begin. By establishing marked protection zones, we prevent damage to root systems and canopies. This service ensures compliance with environmental regulations while safeguarding your property's green assets from construction-related stressors.

We had three trees removed from a small yard in Old Town Alexandria. Highly technical job that included a very large Mulberry that overhung neighbors' property on both sides and was crisscrossed by no less than three service lines, as well as cable lines. Also included large elm that was less than 10 feet from house. I honestly did not understand how it would be possible to safely get rid of these trees. The crew did not bat an eye when they saw the situation. They skillfully and methodically took down the trees, often having to proceed painstakingly slow to work around obstacles and avoid damaging

Crew was polite and professional. They gave me the best estimate for taking down a dead tree. Arrived on time. Cleaned up as they worked. Very happy with their work. Will definitely call them again when needed.

We had a 100' tall Chestnut Oak go down in our back yard during a recent storm. It was only due to a favorable wind that kept it from hitting our home. Steve's crew did an excellent job in removing the tree and grinding the stump. Quality work that we have come to expect from Steve and his crew!

Steves thinks it is fine to park in the way of other peoples driveways. Called office, they were rude and said it will only be for a minute or two. I asked how they knew that, no response. To update everyone, they threw my trash can in the in the street to block my driveway as they left. Well done Steves, well done indeed.

We've used Big Steve's Tree Care now on several occasions and have always been impressed; prompt, professional and friendly service that can't be beat! Our most recent job was trimming a few trees encroaching from neighbors yard and clearing branches from power lines. Steve's crew responded promptly and took care of the job for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!
